Well, I have always been an Ecco fan, so I was definitely going to get this game. However, I was really surprised in the games beauty and authentic environments, characters, etc. I live in the U.S., so I won't be getting the game 'til August 22nd, but it will be worth it. |

Hanging waters is one the most creative and gorgeous levels I've played. I like how, despite the gameplay shortcomings (i.e dodgy push-the-object puzzles etc) that the pacing of the game fits the graphically environment immensely. You are a dolphin, so RELAX, type of attitude. Oh yeah, one other thing... narration by Dr. Who! This game is history in my opinion, and people should give it propers. I hate the fact that so many gamers are so impatient. It is clear that a European design approach differs greatly from developers in the U.S. and even Japan. Attention is paid more to creation of MOOD, rather than gameplay objectives. Anyhow, I loved playing through Ecco, and even felt saddened upon its completion. That goes along with any good experience I suppose. GIVE THOSE ANIMATORS TEXTURE ARTISTS AT APPALOOSA A "DARN" RAISE! HELL EVERYONE GETS RAISES! |

I really like the following things: -Adventure games -Dolphins so getting Ecco:DOTF made sense. Now that I have the game, I'll tell you this: the story is the best I've ever seen in a game, if a bit vague at times (haven't finished it yet, so...), and doing dolphin tricks is so much fun I sometimes forget that I've got a virtual planet to save! |
