Is any track on the game cd that doesn't appear in the soundtrack cd? i have a Ecco1 original cd game, and some tracks (at least 4 of them are not on the soundtrack cd). If anybody knows if some ecco2 tracks where lost in the way, please, drop a line.

Wow thanx for posting files that quick. Again i didn't read that reply from u, and read ur previous subject, and asked u to post those 4 track. And actually u almost did that already. Two tracks r already downloading thru my GetRight. And account from I-drive shows following: We have placed temporary restrictions on guest access while we implement site enhancements. I don't have a link to protoss theme, but i'll try to find it. I was triying to rip it from the game, but, just like The Dig, was impossible. Well, if want to know some of me, i will tell you that i'm a 20 years old spanish guy, i have a past full of console gaming (games like Ecco and Sonic, or nintendo's metroid, zelda and mario series). I'm on internet since january 97 and i connect to irc everyday. I still play games, but there's not much time for it. Actually i only play a little couple of games, not like in the past, when i was a top gamer with top time. Now with internet and this pc, i play only a bit. If Unreal Tournament likes somebody, i'm part of a UT clan. Is a really funny game online, and perhaps sounds rare, but is a place where you can make lots of friends (rare yes, because is a killing-game and you say "hi" to your friends with rockets :P). Hi Rais! So i read story about u with smile (?!) Well, cuz i'm almost 20 too (this September). I played games since ZX Spectrum, then bypassing famous here Nintendo 8 bit switched to Mega Drive (never used to play SNES). and then finally to PC. My favorites on Sega were Ecco with all Sonic's. ALL 4 2D Sonic's /except Pinball and 3D/ were beaten with ALL emeralds to become Super Sonic. I also enjoyed Alien 3, mainly cuz i'm crazy about all Aliens universe. Music was great in the game. Matt Furniss - good composer. Enjoyed Streets or Rage series, with superb music of Yuzo Koshiro. Golden Axe 3, Pirates of Dark Water, MK's Now working at office. Playing not so often. Mainly 3D actions (Jedi Knight!!), quests (Lucas Arts). Strategies - not much, C&C is exception. Last game i beated was MDK2. Cool game with good sense of humour. I live in Ukraine, and study in Russia - St. Petersburg. OK, i should post this 'about myself' essay in Fans section.

My favorite Sonic games are Sonic 1, 2 and cd (and now sonic adventure). The cd version was my favorite, and by the way, the music of the pc version was composed by Spencer Nilsen too (the same as Ecco). Was a good work from Nilsen, but this time i choose the original as best, and i think it's the best music of all sonic games (sonic adventure too). Yes, i take all the emeralds too, is the flavour of Sonic games. If you like the alien univese, check the pc game "Alien vs Predator", you can enjoy playing as a alien, running quickly for ceilings and eating fresh humans. It rocks (and it's a hard game, no free save this time). Do you know Giger taked it from a nightmare? but in the nightmare was transparent, and the special effects of the early eighties don't allow it, and at last no transparent alien was on film (to those who don't know this name, H.R. Giger is the Alien monster creator, a rare man, did you see pics of his house?). Streets of rage 2 was one of my first games played on genesis, the Yuzo Koshiro music on this game really rocks, in the sor.3 i find it a bit... uhm... "cyber", but it suits well. Quests games? secret of monkey island will be my all-times favorite, at least if i don't play something better. Indiana jones and fate of atlantis will be my second favorite. MDK has the touch from Dave Perry, a tall and crazy guy that makes funny games. Earth worm jim 1 will be my favorite from this guy. I enjoyed playing strategie games like the c&c saga (nice), starcraft (cool!) or total annihilation (cool). Starcraft is a hard one in the last levels, too hard for me, i was almost leaving it, but at last i finished it. 3D action are my favorites for pc, and Unreal Tournament is my finest jewel, fun!. Well, i live on Valencia, is at the east side of Spain, we have Sea near and this likes me. I think this is not place to post all this stuff, but at least will entertain some curious people... :/ or not?

Hi! I guess we've made free e-mail service out of Ecco forum. Blackfin wont worry about that too much. He's got an excellent site. that will sure entertain ppl Again - i read mail with surprise. U named almost all my favorite games and told interesting stuff about ALien, that it (or IT?) supposed to be transparent. I guess Preadtor guys used the idea. Well if u know Ridley Scott wanted in orginal some kind of Octopus creature in Alien (Ecco stuff?). By the way, Gladiator movie rocks! As for ALiens movies. Before Resurrection my favorite - the one from James Cameron. And I was ready to kill David Fincher for what he did with Newt, Bishop and Ripley at the end. But later when i found Ripley will be alive (and also I grew up and my interests changed as well) - i just loved 3rd one (highly acclaimed in Europe, underrated in US). Great music from Elliot Goldenthal (as u've noticed i'm fond of scores a lot). Listen to the music when she (RIpley) falls into lava, and when Newt/Hicks go down while Priest speaks and ALien is born. David Fincher made good stylish debut, his next Game, Fight CLub (!!!!) showed his big potential as well. As for 4th one ALien. When i watched in theater i was kinda disappointed about ALien Newbron concept at all. But now when i owned DVD i find it (Newborn and movie itself) pretty interesting to rewatch few times. I also thought that HR Giger's original ALien from sketches (and actual too) reminds me of.... dolphin. His skull - cranium form. I watched a lot of pics from this artist's house. He's got some cyber techno erotic (if not XXX) stuff with ALien imagery approach. i wanted to find some long sleeved T-shirt with his art. By the way - drop me a line if u will find accidentally (yeah right, accidentally). I admire Tim Burton's movies. Well not Beetle Juice. Batman Returns was the best of all Batmans ever. Sleepy Hollow is said to be very good one too (missed in theaters, i'll get on DVD soon). And Tim will direct remake of Planet Of Apes. I won't miss that for sure. Games. I own AvP Gold edition, bought it recently. Haven't played much yet. There's AvP2 in progress in Monolith, no original crew involved. As for quests - Curse of MI is number one for me too (4th one coming up this fall, but it's 3D - i hope that won't spoil picture). Half Life is vvvverrrry good one. I gotta beat Indy's Infernal Machine - can't find time to play. There r plenty of 'must-beat' games on my shelf. Gabriel Knight 2,3; Broken Sword 1(2nd one is great), Opposing Force, Blade Runner, TR3,4 (i enjoyed 1st one and now i have to beat them all), Prince of Persia 3D. Sonic CD. i didn't play it on Mega CD. But i got the game on PC. well :-) it's in my 'must-beat' schedule as well. Spencer Nilsen did good job, but i heard fans r not pleased about the fact that original japanese OST was completely replaced with SpN's work. Sonic Adventure, Ecco DotF --- rrrrrrgh... I don't have DC and none of my friends too. DC is not Streets of Rage 2 (or Bare Knuckle in JP) was real arcade beat-em-up classic for me. SoR 3 music was ahead of time, i find excellent some tracks. Listen to it now, and u'll c. EWJ -- yup, both games were superb. i tried to play EWJ 3d - but it is seen that no Dave Perry involved. Game is much weaker than prequels. New Messiah --- guess what? Yes, it's on my 'must-beat' shelf too. U probably think - lots of money spent on games. But only multi-cd's games r licenced software, rest of games - pirate stuff. To live near the sea must be really amazing. Haven't u dreamed to touch real Dolphin, or even more - to swim with dolphin. I did. I hope it will happen some day. yes, i must see Gladiator, looks like pretty good, and my favorite Alien films are the first and second. Are different, the second is more liked to action film, and the first does greater use of that "psicological fear". The two are excellent, i enjoyed them a lot. I find the "resurrection" of Ripley of the last film a forced, i don't like it. Yeah, giger's house looks like a oddities museum, with horned chairs and ...mmm... own style furniture (he designs his own furniture). If i see a shirt of these type, sure i drop you a line. About Tim Burton, i know he was rejected from disney (because his drawing style was not for children). I didn't see sleepy hollow, but the other day i was looking at the "how was made" book of that film. It looks awesome, everybody talked me good of this film, i must see it. I beated avp with marine and alien in director version, and i have engough for some years (it was HARD, but is the only way to see all the maps). I enjoyed from monolith the blood series (very funny for multiplayer, and a really nice game for 1 player). Quake3 has deceived me a bit, the weapons don't like me too much, i find hard to make frags in that game, but is a great game after all, but i find UT better. Is a personal opinnion. I think Half life is the -best- 3d action game to 1 player, i finished it on a weekend, all-day gaming session this time, simply great. His expansion pack opossing force is very good, but i find a little short, but very good. I played broken sword 1, i purchased it at a ridiculous low prize, and was a excellent game. The goat puzzle taked me some time, but it has a good adjusted difficult. About blade runner, is a top game, excelent, great, i enjoyed it a lot. A dreamcast will be a good buy, looks like it's working some well, and you can use game copies without chip, only a boot disk is required. Yeah, the piracy is ugly, i know, but i don't go to spend 8.000 pts (50$ i think) on a poor game, like dynamite cop and other trash like that. Only games really good like soul calibur, ecco or sonic have the right to be purchased on original format, but, this is only an opinnion. The games are expensive, and we can't buy lots and lots, sometime piracy will made a good service (hey, all my dreamcast games are original, but i only buy the best of them, no trash for 50$ each). Dreaming with dolphins? i can told you much about that. It's personal, but i think there's a lot of people feeling the same. Check some day if you can this film: "The Big Blue". Is my favorite film of all-times beacuse i found in it a mirror of my own personality. Very special for me. The extended version has just been released for dvd, i think soon will be a good moment to buy a playstation 2 (it has dvd). Hoping to hear from you soon.

Hi! It's already 12th message - i think we'll make this topic to the top discussed :-) There's some interesting aspect of public mailing. So Tim Burton's cartoon was rejected by Disney. Now i understand why i had Disney copyright on stickers with Burton's cartoon characters. And i wondered why cuz it was released not thru Disney. Nightmare before X-mas, that was the title, right? About DC cracked. I found that recently when i went to www.gamecopyworld.com (by the way best site if u want to find CD check removals, and cracked patches) and saw Link to DC World with CD images for DC. Then i read that there's some bootable CD that allows to play copied games. That is interesting and big plus to buy DC. cuz there r not a lot of games worthy $50-70. I'm not for piracy, but in our country (Ukraine and neighbor Russia) it is wide spread. It's all bad, but counting that most ppl get salary under... 100$. Piracy is the only way out to play games for many of theml. While i'm involved in metal sales (working in office), i got much much higher salary. I can afford to buy licensed soft. But only selected ones. It can be even game that i beated already - just to support talented crew. Some sort of try-n-buy. Prob won't exist if i'll get $1500+ per month (aaah). Meanwhile i prefer to spend some money for DVD's. I have no choice - no pirate stuff. Well no need in that, there r plenty of great movies worthy that incredible sound, and high res picture. Have u played Dreams To Reality, game from french Cryo Interactive? Very good one. U can fly there! Like in dreams, which i have often. It supports 3d cards, but runs under DOS session and i got that annoying 60 Hz flickering... rrrrgh... Heart of Darkness. That was the game i really liked. MUST PLAY for all arcade fans. Cinematic arcade - i'd say. Too bad that it is low res game. But that didn't spoil hours spent a bit. Good score from Hollywood composer, Bruce Broughton (not sure about spelling) - the one who wrote score for Lost In Space. Game's OST is even much better. Steven Spielberg himslef liked the game a lot while it was in progress. Talking about Steven Spielberg --- yesss, Jurassic Parks will be released this fall on DVD!!! Broken Sword 2 - i suggest u to play. Game is very good classic quest. Well, so i'll play it not in chronological order. as i told - haven't played 1st one yet. Monolith - Blood 2 was good game. And Shogo as well (really nice music). I'll find URL for some tracks if u want (i downloaded it from one russian site). Big Blue - i havent' seen the movie. haven't even heard of it. Now i'll try to find it for sure. I watched Mission to Mars this summer. Well not that superb. But very interesting concept. I find it good one /despite common opinion/ cuz it reminded me of Dig Game. I wish Dig will hit big sreen some day (that wasn't possible in not that computerized era of movies when game was released, budget could be very high). By the way - what r ur favorites from Dig OST? OK, smth related to Ecco for Ecco forum, right? I love the game, i remember how i first watched preview of game on MTV. I watched and couldn't believe my eyes that such games can really exist. It was undescribable beauty (i didn't play Sega MD yet). Ou yes - don't u find Vortex look alike Alien? I had many problems with that boss in 1st Ecco. The prob was i had version (i guess it is original) where if I died battling Vortex, i was back to beginning of Machine level (which didn't have any checkpoint-crystals). So it took a lot of patience not to break console and c the end of the English language game ? And really interesting was that i first played Japanese version of Ecco 1 where last levels were simplified a lot (with crystal checkpoints in Machine, and back straight to Vortex if died). Ecco PC - i played it from some pirated compilation without CD music :-(. But Ecco on PC was Ecco 2's shape (i like it more). Cool 16 bit color high detail graphics! And it had some additional levels not available in Ecco 1, 2 on Sega. With Ecco 2 style graphics - stones, sand, etc. That was a little surprise with levels. Yes, i know gamecopyworld.com, hah, sure i know it. I have the DC boot disk, looks like a 4mb. zip, to uncompress and toast in an cd, then you have a boot. The responsable hackers is a group called "Utopia". Finding DC games on internet is a hard duty, only a few ftp's, in a small time... hard, but i don't want to pay 50$ for dynamite cop! (i hate that game, is the worst thing on DC, at least for now). Yes, i know the monetary problems for the biggest part of your people. In my work we taked two ukranian (is ukranian or ukrainan? i'm not sure) men a few months ago, they where working at Ukraine, and later in Russia. At last they decided to cross Europe in search of better life. Now they earn 1200$ per month (but they work a lot of hours daily, i hope to see his salary incremented soon). They will take wife and childs to here when they hold more money. They don't speak much spanish, but that's hard to learn. Their names are Vasyl and Yaroslav. Dreams to reality always hangued this machine... maybe it's haunted or something, but it always trew the system down. I didn't played heart of darkness, i'll try to find it. Jurassic park is a great film, i have read the book, and i find it a very good "conversion". The jurassic park games never liked me a lot. Good mp3 links would be apreciatted, sure. The dig mp3 are in the office pc yet, tomorrow i will give track names. I saw ecco in a promo video, on a store i think. It was on beta stage, but almost the same. The vortex queen, just like hundreds of extraterrestial artworks looks like inspired on giger's work. If you played lots of games you know what i'm saying. Another time beating the machine? wagh! i remember the ammount of time i was spending to know the level and the screen directions, because i played a similar version... what a nightmare. I have an original ecco pc, but i have a little problem with it... ir runs too fast, too FAST. Do you imagine a dolphin at 180kmh? it exists, is called ecco and lives in this pc... \|:[ I just finished playind diablo 2 a few moments ago. Great game! this looks some kind of extra-adictive game, hum, i think i'm hooked now, just like with diablo 1. I like blizzard, a great people making good games. See ya soon!! Pd. Ahoy there, matey! I think u've understood that was form Monkey Island. Well i'm back again. Checked Ecco forum and saw that 12 changed to 13. So u really dislike Dynamite Cop. Maybe u should just not play it? Well it's really annoying when some low quality games appear on Sega. I find this company the best as for 'quality control'. Sony PSX got 70% of low quality games. Or even more. (i had to change word 'cr#p' to 'low quality', message couldn't be posted --- i found out only recently that cr#p is even harder than 'sh$t', hope English men will excuse us as English is foreign language for us. Do u know what Sega means? I always thought it is some Japanese cool word. I admire Japanese ppl, so intelligent - always invent smth new in everything. So SeGa. It is simple as that - SErviceGAmes. US company (that was surprise) that made arcades for US militaries in Japan. Don't remember details exactly, the point is that sooner or later it was headed by Japanese ppl. Ukrainian. U wrote correct. To immigrate for better life - i appreciate that. Cuz i will too as soon as i'll finish University. to USA. Spanish is hard to learn, huh? Believe me, Russian is way more difficult language for foreigners to learn. Vasyl and Yaroslav - familiar Ukrainian names. I guess they r from Western Ukraine. Ask them somehow, they'll understand. Heart of Darkness. I highly recommend the game, u won't regret. It was more than 4 years or even more in production. I just remember that i read previews in very old game magazines and game appeared previous year, i guess or 1998. Game scored 96% in PCGamer (many highs, low was that it got low res). I've noticed funny thing in ur English. No-no, it's good. It's just u write "jurassic park games never liked me a lot" and "track will like u", etc. I understand what u r saying, but sounds like 'I've never been popular among Jurassic P Games. They never liked me, were angry about the fact I never liked them (JP games)". :-)) Maybe this construction is used in Spanish grammar. I remember I ran some Spanish language tutor on PC. What i remember is Cavajo (horse, right?) Spanish is cool, and now it's popular with all that Latino music fever occured year ago or earlier. About ur E.T. dolphin - i think u know about slow-down processor programs, i can give u link if u want to. I remember i 'played' Wing Commander 1, after mission briefing i had 5 seconds hyperspace flight, and, oops, i'm dead. As for Ecco PC - i didn't have such problem cuz i ran the game long time ago when i had P-100, 8 Mb (Wow!!!!). Now i own PII-466, 128 Mb RAM, TNT card 16 Mb (i should upgrade it to GeForce). Diablo 2. i've got the game. 3cd's r soaking dust on my shelf. I will play it as well. I watched WarCraft trailer. CGI is great, music, 2 bloods united... to save humanity.... This time it's war. and so on... I just entered for search Big Blue on dvdexpress.com. There's director's cut. Wow, so it's Luc Besson's movie. Jean Reno. With Eric Serra score!!! I just love his Fifth Element and Goldeneye (cool track - We Share the Same Passions) music. I think i'll buy that movie. DVD Cover is superb. U can find big scanned front and back on this site if not yet. I haven't seen Joan of Arc yet, some ppl say movie is OK, but not that good as other Besson movies. I hate the Dynamite cop, because it came with the console, (it was sold it to me a friend one month after buying it) and it bothers me the fact that somebody burned 50$ in that game. PSX has many bad games, but it also has many that are jewels, and those they are the games that make strong that console. They are the games those that make good a console. Sega (service games) it began making you music machines " jukebox ". Nintendo also has a curious past, they made game cards, of that it already makes but of 100 years I believe. I have a dictionary here of Ukrainian, and I don't understand anything, they are not Latin characters, for that reason I believe that it should be quite difficult. If, my English is quite poor, I hope to improve it with the time (this is what I have learned how to speak playing to games without translating,). The Spanish grammar works reverse that the English, for that reason sometimes I don't write it very well. caballo=horse, and by the way Delfin=Dolphin. If, a link for a slow-down program would come well. I have an amd k6-2 at 350 with a voodoo banshee, and it requests to be upgraded for coming games. That Dvd version of the Big Blue is the complete one, one of them was made clipped, this dvd is the good one. I have the soundtrack in integral version if u interested. No, I have not seen Joan of Arc yet, but Leon, the professional and Nikita I liked them a lot. Mila Jovovich is Ukrainian? i thought that it was Russian, it is good to know it. My time is GMT + 1, and I don't have icq, I had it but i uninstalled it. Neither serious a problem to return him to install, but I will always prefer the IRC. Jack Jazzrabbit reminds me to Sonic (at least the last that i played), and I like it, but I have not thoroughly played it. I see that you have enough interesting webs, it seems that you have navigated long in internet. That reminds me when i was beginning... (sun to sun sessions). So you do want to leave to Usa? Back again... from the dead... Kidding... OK, so now i understand why u hate DC that much (u c how they used capitals for Dynamite Cop - same as DreamCast). By the way how much is DC console in ur local stores? Sega made jukeboxes, right. I remember now. What arcades i was talking about in occupated Japan?! :-) Dictionary of Ukrainian, where have u find it? U can't read a thing cuz we use complete different symbols. Cyrillic. For example - in Cyrillic symbol H is pronounced like latin N. ANother examples C sounds alwayss like S P like R (that's why CiCiCiPi - CCCP is in fact sounds like SSSR). B is V T,M,K same as latin We have original Cyrillic symbols - maybe u v'e noticed strange mirrored R. It sound like YA. One symbol that sounds like 'Zh' And many other stuff, very uncommon for foreigners. But no prob for me - Latin is Latin, Cyrillic is Cyrillic; i just switch automatically in my mind. Even so, it's not all. The most difficult thing in Russian that there r 6 cases. Different endings of almost all words in different cases. Dolphin, no dolphin, swim to dolphin, to c dolphin, admire dolphin, game about dolphin. In Russian in that cases word gets these endings: delfin, delfina, delfinu, delfina, delfinom, delfine. Dolphin in Russian is Delfin too (just Cyrillic symbols instead). Also depends if single or plural, two different sets of 6 endings. Phew.... Forget it. It's almost impossible to speak Russian without accent if not learned it from early childhood. While Russians can accomodate to English (i know examples) and talk like native born Americans. Few of my friends study in USA, and after 2 years - some Americans asked them where r they from and tried to guess state of US. About ur English. It's not my native language, but ur English is good enough. 'poor'?!. U haven't read 'poor' English. I studied it at school, and best practice was in original English games (quests) / I never played translated games/. Now also DVD's. Besides - voice talents r always best in original. \|The Spanish grammar works reverse that the English --- well in Russian no specific order with Subject and Verb as well. \| for that reason sometimes I don't write it very well - u do write very well. Just never use those online translators (they translate sentences literally, word after word - that's why ur last post had so many non-English grammar constructions). Use dictionaries instead. But build sentence in English. As my teacher of English said: "Never copy sentence from Russian to English. Think in English". As for a link for slow-down prog, i'll ask my bro. Ahh... i think i need a "learn english in a week" book, well, we can survive this. Today I have been in comic-and-nice-stuff stores (all kinds of comics puppets, games, expensive books, more expensive japanese imported manga-stuff...) there was lots of giger stuff, but no t-shirt this time. If I see something you will know it. I have been in a store specialized in cinema (one of those where you can buy from posters of movies, like the planet of apes or star wars saga, a book of "how was made sleepy hollow" or mountains of movies and soundtracks. I have taked 3 postcards of "the Big Blue". I hope to buy the director's cut version on dvd. I only need a dvd player now. I only saw the clipped version, and it's my favorite movie, this doesn't like me. Yesterday I was playing to a nice psx game called Diver's Dream (dolphin's dream). As you will have guessed it is about divers. It is a short, but quite amusing game. Perhaps will be my imagination, but all the characters keep some... mmm... "look" with the main characters of the Big Blue. I will do some captures and I will post it on a web. I will try to make some mp3 too. Idrive doesn't work yet, let's wait to upload more mp3. Is sad, but since my web space doesn't give for more i need things like that to upload some tasty stuff. Diablo2 keeps me hooked, it's a game that I recommend you. I find it very amusing, last night I went to sleep at 3:30 and at 6:30 I have waked up. Alien Warrior, Aqua Alien, New Born, Alien Offspring, egg keychain. Also great ones from Resident Evil (2 nice corpses), few versions of Spawn - cyborg, knight (creator of Spawn - Todd McFarlane runs his own business with toys; u probably saw his Movie Maniacs action figure series), Batman, Scream maniac, Lara Croft figure. and very good one - Sonic figure from Sonic Adventure series (i want Knuckles which is very rare piece to find), Virus movie giant (don't remember his name). Yes, almost all the action figures you talked about are available in that shop, but no sonic stuff! agh, sonic likes me a lot. There was a natural-size alien facehugger too, but it was so expensive. The cool things are almost always expensive, what a a sad rule. Bug's life, yes, a funny movie (with great cgi), the best was the end, the "fake takes" (i don't know how are called in english). I didn't played nigths, but in sonic adventure you can play a pinball game based on it, sometimes the ball travels thought a nights level (when falls in the hole), i think it will like you, play if u can, is a great game. Diver's dream, like almos all the psx games don't has tracks. But sometimes music can be extracted with some programs (like xa2wav) . if this doesn't worsk... well, we have the great, awesome, and colorful hi-tech wire made-on-home, from psx to line in. If you don't move it much, it sounds pretty fine... well, if you don't move it much (i think it has something bad connected inside all this sticky-tape (how it's called that in english?). Bill clinton matreshka? uhm... surely in the bill gates matreshka you will find a devil face in the last doll. My cd-rom is toshiba too, and it works fine. Mp3 extraction without extra "noises". Metal gear is a great game, with a great storyline (it will fit perfectly in a movie). I played before the nintendo 8bits, and i was anxious to play this one. Great. Hideo Kojima made a great work there (he aspires to be a movie director someday). By the way, hideo kojima's favorite movie director is luc besson, and his favorite music groups are ultravox, sisters of mercy between others. Lot's of cool gropus. Play this game someday, you will not regret. Ecco covers are not in this site, but them will be found easily in the net. Only Ecco jr. will be a bit difficult to find, but i saw it two or three times before in some webs. Today looks like one of these "let's go to beach quickly" day. Well, spain will be a very good place to stay, but it works only for zones. There's lovely towns, and loathsome others. Some bautiful and other dirty&disliking. A small and nice town at seaside will be the best choose. Hey, i have starcraft tracks (i'm downloading the last one now). Jackie Chan movies are funny, there was a game for nintendo 8 bits based on that character, all with chinese style. It was a funny game. Spanish towns at seaside are infested of tourists, well, lots these towns live from tourism. Yes, Spain is sun and sea, and in lesser rate, the loathsome corridas de toros and pasodoble. I hope for the banishing of these last two. Are doomed traditions, the younger people hates them (killing a bull? what art is that?) about the pasodoble, simply stinks because is linked with the bullfighting (i think is called bullfighting in english). Are things to clean in this country. I work on a office of a small factory. We make metalic covering for furniture factories (chrome, gold, copper... gold plated furniture likes people a lot, i preffer chrome or silver, but silver loses bright soon). Do you work on metal sales isn't? Well, tomorrow i will post some more from the office, we have a hi-tech 56k modem (but it always connects at 24.400bps... an x-file). I want to make web-page as well. I bought one good book about web-design recently. Yeah, i'm into metals sales. Copper, and other pure metals. Listened to Ecco MIDI files from this site. Well, um... didn't like at all. i remember i downloaded couple Ecco tracks from somewhere - they sounded cool and very close to orginal. On my Aureal Vortex card. I recommend u Alien 3 music for Genesis. There r few good tracks there. So u graduated from school and didn't continue ur education (starting to work)? Any plans to study? U live in town at the seaside? What music bands do u like? Any genre u prefer to listen to? I enjoy different eletronic stuff, some alternative, just love scores (and other similar music). With a tool like dreamweaver, making a webpage will become a non-tedious work. A friend has just purchased a "how to use dreamweaver" book. You must be strong to hold that book on hands, i don't know if the book is good, but is really big, and it will hurt seriously anybody if you drop it from a window. I think the midi files on this web (only some of them) are done with gym2mid. You can capture the sound signal from genesis emulator genecyst on a wav or gym file, and the gym file can be cnverted to mid. The problems? sometimes will sound fine... and others... well, others not too fine. You can play gym files with winamp directly (it sounds almost like a genesis) only download bleep for winamp on http://www.zophar.net/ (utilities / gym players section, and you can find too a gym archive on the site, i downloaded ecco2 and sonic songs from there, and maybe alien3 songs will be here too, if not i can make them myself.) Well, you can enter my mp3 dir on my fserve (open tonight too, like a night club) Only /msg rais !glyph in undernet to enter. No, i don't live on seaside, my future plans have that fact too, leave this place nearer to coast. Actually i'm 26km from a beach. I want to rip the original cd, but i will try that url too. Duck tales for nes, ahh how can i forget that game... the second nes game i played (the first was bubble bobble) capcom made a grear work with this game, very funny. I played rayman 1, and i found ir a bit hard, but a nice game. Kuckles wasn't always cleean, yeah it's true, just remember sonic3. No, i don't have plans to study for now. My objective now is to move from here, i want to go to canary islands. They are spanish land, but are near to african west coast. Is the paradise i was searching, and i need to move, i have some chances to get work in. Maybe i am crazy for leave my work and move out from here, but with no risk, no gain. The plans will be crashed for something, but i want to try, bah, i always have the chance of return. About the music interests, well, i like a bit of all, i like a lot the 80's pop, i like some metal bands, i like alan parsons project and marilyn manson too, i like jarre and tangerine dream, i like some songs from oldfield, i like the last chemical brothers lp, and i like metallica (before they made a self-shell to record company and become betrayers), i like lots of videogame songs and some movie soundtracks and... and them all won't fit here, well, a bit of all (except latin music, i hate it and i listen some everyday on nearly radios... aghh, and things like bsb too.) I missed lots and lots, but this can bring you some idea of my interests. I need more time to do lots of things, i hope to take some vacation soon, the time falls from my hands like water, i need more. Me again. So u played Rayman - 2d scroller. i saw it. and didn't play actually though i liked graphics. But Rayman 2 is great 3d arcade game. one of the best i played for last couple years. Not only 3d game, but game as well. very good, one of the most good looking games ever. highly recommend - with Heart of Darkness. Cool, i found only recently that there is key cartridge available - when u plug Sonic 2 or 3 into it. u can play Knuckles in any of the above. Interesting. Canary Islands - sounds great. Known as great resort. \|no risk, no gain --- i agree. Gotta risk when u r young and full of life and energy. I like few songs of Marylin Manson but they r really good. The one from Matrix (Rock is Dead?), also Beatiful Ppl, and Sweet Dreams - cool arrangement of good song by Annie Lennox (i like her). This song was in House on Haunted Hill OST. Have u seen one? Jurassic Park / Lost World 2 DVD set is already scheduled for October 20. I'll get it 100%. I like mostly 90's music. Tangerine Dream - i'm not acquainted with their music. But i know they wrote music for some 80's vampire movie (with Lance Henriksen). Oldfield has some terrific tracks. I just loved his Women of Ireland. Also lots of good ones. His Tubular Bells and many remixes. Chemical Brothers. Yup, their last LP is not bad at all. WHile previous ones got only few good songs. Hey Boy, Hey Girl - cool video. Just saw it today at morning on TV. I didn't play NES. it so happned i didn't have one. and bought Sega MD at once. when they only started to appear. I think n64 is good console. with not bad quality control? But cartridge is a bit old feature. No FMV's, limits about audio. I played Sonic - and once i stood in the corner and Tails was sacrificing himself during battle with Dr. Robotnik. Also when Tails lifted me (Sonic) up and i reached some secret rooms. By the way - Robotnik. this word sounds very Russian, or Polish. This - IK ending. In Russian we've got Rabotnik=Worker. Ah, and Super Sonic used to die many times falling into nowhere cuz of his speed. Doom 1. i played it. But 1st 3d game i really liked was Quake. I enjoyed it a lot with Tomb Raider as 3d games. I saw rayman2 on a preview movie, and it was looking really good, i think i have a dreamcast demo here near (usually i don't play demos, too many games for play yet but i will try it). Yes, i played that key cartridge too. I can remember knuckles running in chemical plant zone, but the best prepared for it was sonic 3, it enhances the game a lot, you will find a new metalsonic too in the later levels of the game. Metalsonic was my favorite, what a charismatic bot, huh. About my plan to leave tho the islands, maybe i will leave it for now, if i can get a work of graphic designer (not "art", just small graphics for webs and publi-catalogs on cd). I have lots of possibilities to get this work on 3 months, it just "rained" from the sky, lucky this time. If i don't get the work, then let's fly to the south. Well, about marilyn manson has lots of good songs, he changues style lots of times between songs, you always can find at least one or two of your likening. Tangerine dream has nice tracks, i haven't listened lots, but i like a lot "dolphin smile". About tubular bells, is a great song, but i think oldfield has "burned" it with all these remixes and verions. No, i haven't saw house of haunted hill, i don't see movies usually, because my vhs player is death now, and i never go to cinema (too much people), i need another one, let's see if the next week i go for another one. The Zx-Spectrum, that was absolutely popular in this country, lots of people had one. I tryed it a years ago, but looks like the tapes where a bit old, and all the games won't load. But some of them did it, and was funny, but i didn't played it "on the moment", when i played, it was just an old computer forgotten, and not the great computer it was on his time. Is just as if you play a nes now, you don't have rememberings of the good time passed with it because you didn't played it, just and old console. When i play a old nes game that liked to me, it carries me to that time, remebers me things of the past when i was young, but let's look ahead, nintendo's dolphin (well, the release name will be another, but i don't know it) looks like a big one, but with xbox, ps2, dreamcast, and dolhpin, i think the console market is satured, i think some of them will go down. Programmers love xbox for his power and the easy-programming type. They say is very easy, and the ps2 is just the opossed, its hard to program on that console (saturn had the same problem). But ps2 has psx road done, ant it will boost it lots, i saw a metal gear 2 video and i was impressed, i never seen a thing like that on a console, awesome. Dreamcast is growing up and harvesting money, cool, sega needed that, but they just say "dreamcast is our last console, we don't go to make more"... what do you think? they will retreat? if dreamcast works i think surely they retreat from that, but the console market is harder than ever. For now, i saw a preview of sonic adventure2 and looks COOL, and if a ecco2 is in progress, well, what can i say... About n64, i have one, i purchased it for play zelda, and it's a great game, just like mariokart64, but i think it needs more impact games. Well, a good console after all. A rumor says metroid64 is in progress, if its true i will boy it on-the-act, i love that game!. 26-28c? that's pretty good weather, better than here now, this summer we had 36-38c somedays, aghhh... and i always have black clothes, this is WARM. You can usually see english and german tourists walking with just a bath-dress (ah, how it's called it on english?), they like this warm to take baths in beach and to take sun too, good for them, as tourists they need to take fun. Edit mode for sonic2 will let you place objects in the level, like enemies, items, spikes, springs... a funny fact is to make traps in 2 player competition mode (don't let the other player see the traps). Well, it's nice to do anytime when you played hours and hours against a friend. It will be done with a cheat, but i can't remember it, surely in sonic fan webs you will find it. Rabotnik=worker? wow, almost Dr.Worker, well, he builded many big bases, maybe it's a great worker after all. And yes, supersonic died lots of times on my genesis too, too many speed. Quake is a great one, and it had NiN ammo boxes, it's a dark music group, they boosted manson up, and later manson become grater, but is a looong story (i just readed manson bio). Hi there! I left town for couple days so coudn't reply Rayman2 --- is excellent game. It is available on PC as well. Do u have some kind of rents for games for consoles, PC (i guess no - for PC games, as in US)? Cool u r into design stuff, i'm fond of it as well. It was in Spanish. title - Spirits. but it crashed all the time. I emjoyed a lot Saboteur game with Ninja girl in Saboteur 2. I draw big colored map myself. that was fun. Eidos will release Sabotuer game soon for 3d. Hope it will be great. Read ur mail today about Metal Gear Solid. And to mu surprise when i opened my 'Downloads' folder from Getright. i saw mgs.mpg... It was 90 megs trailer... Wow this game looks awesome... Music is great. Cutting edge graphics. As for movies. i just love to watch movies at movie theater. of course only eguipped with Dolby Digital or similar sound system. As for many ppl - i really enjoy watching movie with many ppl. Comedies r good to watch, that's why there's laugh on backgroud in many comedy series --- to create 'being in theater' atmosphere. U wouldn't laugh A LOT if u r watching comedy, would u? Besides watching big FX movies on VHS is waste of time. U enjoy only 30% or even less. So DC is last one - Sega says? Hmmm... Hope they will make good money on DC. And provide excellent games. So what r their plans after DC? if no more console? Games for PC, arcades? I doubt, we'll c. Edit mode in SOnic 2... I suppose it was fun to play. i wonder is there some ROM available with Knuckles key. to play Sonic 3. I remember great music in Ice Cap Zone. Level was real eye-candy. FF. Yup, not my genre. Hi!, yes, we have game-renting here, for pc and console, and if you do some frienship with the owner, maybe he will pass you the software and the crack to copy the game too (i tell this for own experience). http://cmart.design.ru won't work here, i think my flash plugin is out of date, let's upgrade. Spirits... no idea, spectrum games aren't my speciality, i didn't lived that computer. Saboteur, i can remember that game from old spectrum magazines, i remember a pic of a thought girl on a big bike. Looks like a great idea make that game in today's machines, there's lots of old games with a good base, perfect for a "revive". Metal Gear is one of these, was a good idea? ask sony salesman if you want, but the "star" game from psx2 is mgs2, and it's luring me to boy another console, joypads, wires, stuff... surely my wallet won't survive this for long, but i need to play that game. Movie theater will be always the best choice to see movies in good conditions, but too many people for me, i'm the "lonely person" type (only a bit). About sega, perhaps they will return to the jukeboxes... no way, i think they will continue in console market, if not, only arcade games, and maybe pcgames. Nah, i think they will re-take the console road (but is a hard way). I never found a knuckles rom like that, but the sonic & knuckles collection for pc, has the two games combined, it works almost like a genesis. Icecap zone music was one of the best from that game, but sonic2 and over all, sonic cd, still have the best music tracks for me. Sonic adventure has some good tracks too. About ff7, is one of the best games i played ever, i find the gameplay very funny, but the best is the history, characters and atmosphere. Try it if you want, at last, maybe it will like you. Available on pc too. Ah, and don't waste time with ff8, is a good game... but only good, ff7 is a masterpiece (at least for me). Well, for now, this work won't let me stay at home (and i need to enter it yet, but almost sure). I don't know what exactly i will do in, maybe webpages, maybe graphic support.. no idea yet, time will talk. Half life with full audio support... great!! i hope you will enjoy this game just as me, or more! (i was hooked all the weekend, and i beated it after hours and hours before my screen). Looks like yo give full priority to audio, enjoy that speakers!.Usually i play games with a good headphones, but sometimes i missed open the door to friends because i was't able to hear the door, ugh. About the dark clothes, i weared them one day at 15 years old, and it liked me a lot. Since that day black clothes. Well, after all it's my look. I wear thin clothes, and workmates tell me "hey, you are crazy, how can you carry black clothes in august? the sun will kill you soon!" but in winter i wear thin clothes too, and they say "how can you carry only that thin rag? i have 2 t-shirts more under this one! bah, you are crazy"... well, looks like i am doomed by my workmates to be a crazy after all... bah. Hi again! Yup about friendship with the owner of some entertainment store - that is very comfortbale thing. My first job was in such store. I sold, gave for rent video/PC games, and different accessories for computer. So there were ppl eager to be my friend. As i don't work there anymore - i still can take or chnage smth for free. As for Spirits - it's just i remember it was in Spanish. I didn't like it that much to discuss how was it. \|there's lots of old games with a good base, perfect for a "revive" --- yup, i totally agree. I wish Codemasters will do some adventure based on their perfect series - Dizzy. MGS 2 does look awesome, i watched preview already few times. This is gonna be smash hit and good starting exlcusive for PS2. \|the sonic & knuckles collection for pc --- i remember i played demo of htis collection. only with few levels of Sonic 3. Is this game available in ur local stores? i guess it's out of stock everywhere. Have u seen Japanese commercial of Coca-Cola with FF9 characters? looks great. I played already a lot in Half-Life. Game is superb as sinlge player 3d action. HL2 is much anticipated with Quake 3 engine (which is veeeeeeery good for graphics). \|it liked me a lot --- just for fun. But u liked black clothes, not - clothes liked u. In Englsih u have to follow strict word order with subject and verb. Well my favorite colors in clotehs r grey, dark blue. and classic black/white of course. Well, that rent-shop was something like "the great piracy club", and it's still opened (now with 2 shops). I didn't played dizzy, but i can remember an funny egg with a indiana jones hat or something like that, is this your dizzy?. About metal gear solid 2, looks awesome, i hope to play it soon, but i heard lots of things (bad things) about psx2 first games. I hope they will put better stuff for sale, now the console is vulnerable, needs to expand itself, and good games are the key. About sonic & knucles for pc, is no more available on shops, but there's a little chance of get it, i have a friend owner of that game, if you want a copy, just emailme an adress and you will put you hands on it in a few days. Maybe anybody thinks "what a nasty pirate, coping games to everybody like a possesed", but i think coping a impossible-to-get-in-shops game for free, is not a crime, at least for me. Coca-cola commercial with ff9 characters? agh! no, i want to see this one (not for the coke, for the ff9 stuff). Square drops now a final fantasy game every year, i think this burns the game, a year isn't engough to make a masterpiece (one of my favorite games, ff7 took a few years, but i don't know how many exactly). Well, let's wait for ff9, but I think square has turned "on" the money-making machine called final fantasy at a very high voltage, it will overheat... or not? time will say the truth, let's wait. Half-life, what a game! if you like it, you will find too a expansion called "opossing force", very good, but a bit short, try it if you can. You play on it as a marine, and your duty is hunt that gordon freeman, very good. Uhm... talking about this impulses me to play the game another time, wah, no more games for now, i have too many. And half-life 2 will be a must-buy game for me, if is good as first hl, i will agree to pay it's full prize. No piracy for games like that this time. I played vampire mascarade - redemption, and it's great lot (but perhaps not your game type, looks like a mix of diablo and baldurs gate with a 3d engine.). Yes, i can remember that indy hat, and another explorer-look hat too. It was on a console magazine, in a "fantastic dizzy" review for genesis. Dvd is getting popular, i think it will replace the vhs someday (but recording on dvd like a vhs is still a problem). Dvd is a boost for psx2 sales, and i think it don't has any regional lock, and this has carried some problems to sony becase looks like is some kind of law forbiding this. Just wait for Ecco pc and sonic & knuckles, i will toast some and send it lots of miles far to the east. This e-mail (stenellas@yahoo.com) is my main account, i put it in the forum because i consider Ecco related things important for me. My "trash" mail is stenellas@ctv.es, it's full of that "bulk" mail, but i have a very quick transference with that server, and it don't bothers me. Vampire game it's great, is selling a lot here, i hope to play it (but i need to finish diablo2 first). I'm looking for a heart of darkness, maybe the monday i will get one, let's see this game. Let's talk about gym format, it's easy. You load a rom with genecyst, and you can log the music in wav and gym format in the sound menu. After that, you will collect them to listen with winamp (a plugin is required, check the download secion of this web), or convert them to mid. They sound like genecyst, and some of them can be converted successful to mid with gym2mid utility. I think some of this web's midis are made with gym2mid (i hope blackfin will post some here if i'm wrong) , try some midis of this web like Ecco jr. "ocean tag", with my soundcard i listen a bothering noise everytime, or try ecco jr. "endless sea" as a nice conversion to mid, it sound's pretty ok. At least this midis will give a base to midi arrangers to enhance them. A time ago i was doing some little mods with fast tracker 2 (there's some mods for download in this web too), but I have no idea of midi making, i found it hard. You also can find some music files of another consoles (like nes' nfs or snes' spc) all playable with winamp and the correct plugin. Some of them are nice ones, but specially if u played the games. Free calls to usa, free? totally free? sounds really great, the last thing of that style i saw on the net was that sms messages free (i use that service a lot), but this sounds greater. The bad news are... well, i don't have any friend in usa to take full advantage of that great service... but is good to know it, maybe someday will be useful. This post is beginning to grow bigger and bigger, navigator takes some seconds to display it... and even more in the office with our mega hi-tech 56k modem connected always at less of 24.400bps. Bah, no way, if this post bothers someone just don't read it (except if that one is Blackfin). I'm enjoying this post session, why I must stop it?. If someone has a good reason for it, i will stop. But if your best reason is the large number... well, it slows-down any connection in the main forum page? perhaps needs a plugin? it crashes any machine? no? then, I have no reason for leave it. By the way, Arkonviox, I just received you mail, and looks like your project is serious (well, Darkfin's project too). Usually all these fans doing game versions from his favorites never finish the projects. Keep the good work on that, and maybe we can have an fan-made Ecco game. By the way, I found a curious thing in the hand-draw pictures, it's that darkness around the dolphin's eyes, it gives a really evil look. Well, do it as you like, but as i'm telling you, looks like the evilest of the dolphins. I'm hoping too see more from this project, just keep working and getting support from people. Whoa!!! I c some1 reacted on top discussed subject... THe prob is that some ppl think - what is that subject that got 36 messages? And will check it for sure. Well DVD won't replace VHS or smth else. I think DVD will be DVD - for movies. And VHS is now more used like recording device (for me as well). When u program ur VCR to record smth when u r out. Well there's DVD-r's already. but we'll c how they will "spread" into our every day life. Heart of Darkness - yup, u'll get great hours of playing. DOn't forget abotu Rayman 2. Well i remembered somehow about my second love after Dolphins (oh, i want giant poster of them in my room!!!) - so it is Dinosaurs. Those creatures r great, i wish to c them live in thos prehistoric times. How they move, act, live. I'll check Genecyst 100% if it has such feature to grab music. Those couple Ecco midi's i've sent u - sound really pro and much alike original. I'm not into of MIDI as well. I wrote couple tracks in Acid. Enjoyed new Mixman (nice real time FX). Rais speaking of my game it will be called Ecco the dolphin: Tides Out of time unless I find a better name. I have been learning programming since last year so I could make this game. By surprise Ecco defender of the future came out and threw me by surprise I wanted to make an Ecc sequel and a whole new game comes out. It looks great hasnt come out here though. My game has been in the works since 1997 of november which means ive spent well over 2-3 years revising the story and overlooking what makes a great game. My conclusion alot of bosses close character relationships, secreats, suprises,and reasons to replay it after you have beaten it. I finished learning C and thought I'd learn C++ next I need to learn a little about windows programming and have a alot to learn in game design. My game will be 2D (dont worry the graphics will make up for it) or isometric. Another thing my game will have are special songs of time which will be alot like magic or if you remember defender of the future with the dolphins who shot ice or fire thats exactly how it will be. Two versions will be released a cd version with mp3s I found that i want in the game using napster. Music examples well theres Tupac, korn, led zeplin (stairway to heven) which will be one of the most used. then theres a song from last of the mohicans called british arrival that will be the time machine music you know when ecco travels through time. But the theme for the intro will be undersea-palace part 1:23 time from chrono trigger brink of time. The intro will be like the 32x intro. strange to say I remember that video from blockbuster along time ago which the game away as a free rent. The version I will release publicaly will be a version w/o mp3's. This games going to be different because of all the bosses and secreats and powers especial the morphs. there will be not just dolphins to play as I created some unique characters as well. -Arkonviox

Hi! about dizzy for genesis rom, i have it. I can send you in a e-mail if you want. Yes, a dizzy game for psx is not hard to imagine, maybe one day codemasters will try it. Do you know Tombi? (psx). Heart of darkness is at low prize edition now, perhaps this week i will get one for a nice-prize, after all you said, it looks like a nice buy. A Dolphin poster... well, I painted some of them in a wall of my room with glow-in-dark chalk (three Dolphins at one wall, two Orcas on the other side and some fish and medusa stuff). It looks nice in the few minutes it glows after turning off the light. I have too one of these purple-light tubes (these ones used to check money in some shops) and it works perfectly with all these glowing stuff from walls and ceiling, it glows better for more time. Well, the manson poster shines a lot too because it's all white, and white things like t-shirts or clean teeth shine with that tubes. Manson and Dolphins do a curious team in the darkness. A warning about chalk: don't get too close of the wall... or you can carry on some "souvenir". Touching a real dino it`s a bit hard yet, unless someone try something serious with adn... :) Maybe prehistory levels from first Ecco will be some of your favorites? You can't touch a dino yet, but you can try it with a Dolphin... not easy, but a least possible. Is one thing i want to do in this short life. Someones think life is short, another ones think life is too long... what do you think about that? The genecyst option to grab gym files is "Log YM2612" is in the sound menu. If you want to log some from streets of rage 3 to a cd, genecyst has the "log wave" option too, it makes wavs. About the midis on the web, some of them sounds bad, but at least are almost all the songs from the Ecco games. And blackfin labeled the author on some of them (are these ones made by midi arrangers, and sounds great). If you want to send some mail to these midi arrangers, just try www.vgmusic.com, and try genesis section. You will see the e-mail of each one with his midis. By the way the page is great (sure you visited it before). Maybe the world's best source of videogame midis (at least the best for me). That sonic midi files will interest me, send some if you can, and by the way i go to check that sonic track... I have acid too, it's really easy to work with this program, but I don't have musical ability to do something good. There's an archaic (but great) program called fast tracker 2, it makes mod type files, but is harder to work with it. You can check the download section from this web to take some ecco mod files made with this program, and them sounds almost like the original (I opened them with ft2 to see the notes and looks like a great tracker is after this mods). I will try that 1-800 numbers, let's see how it works. I love the free stuff like this. That www.joecartoon.com exe's are just bestial, i downloaded all of them! superfly2 too (don't suck the fly!! XD ) Ah, and by the way, check the mail soon, not e-mail, just standard mail. The cd's will take off tomorrow but I don't know how many time will take to arrive, not much I hope. See ya...

I was good in drawing since childhood. Those purple-light light. we call it neon light here... Well it all shines with bright blue... It's a usual thing here in any club. SOmetimes some ppl get green color teeth :) I think scientists will grow dinosaur like in JP some time. From DNA or smth. I wouldn't say Prehistoric levels were my favorites... but that was great for story. I liked a lot Atlantis levels. Atlantis - all the legends, it's just 'WOW'... I gotta read book of Costeau about Atlantis (one girl adviced). What if this civilization really existed. Yup, i know vgmusic.com ABout life - if it's too short or long... I don't know. i prefer not to think about it now. Sure being young and healthy for much longer time would be much appreciated. Maybe with some genetic science - that will be solved to receive certain effect. When u r old - everything is different. Well - i think life is short. Ah, yes. If u own usual sound card without good wavetable: Download this MIDI player. It uses DirectX midi wavetable, maybe u checked in Test Music in DX setup. yeah, check the e-mail later for get some stuff. Hey, i heard some rumor about a third jp movie, do you know something about that? I was reading a book about atlantis too, but no Costeau after that. Well, it was fun, but i think it was all wrong theories at least in a 97%. Oh yes, I'm not the right person to opine on a thing like that, but some of these theories where just "too much", and the book crossed for lots of times the thin line between serious science and total nonsense. But at least was fun. You're good at drawing? I don't have that ability, but painting programs have a cool undo tool for me... :P Yes, drop any line when you got the cd's (i'm curious about how many time it takes). At last i'm on vacation, now i have lots of free time to play games, read, sleep without alarm-clock menace or anything else. This life style rules... but where is my money next month? aghh, it can't be perfect... And about Arkonviox game, i know that Chrono Trigger music (i have lots of spc files) and it will fit really ok in the game, is one of my favorites. But korn music in a Dolphin game sounds hard. But keep on it, decide yourself when you finish it. Perhaps i'm wrong... Or perhaps not. If korn, tupac or old led music don't suit (you decide this), try on other console games music, like the donkey kong country underwater music (i love that song and it fits -perfectly- on a ecco game for genesis). Or some from square's games, like bahamut lagoon or seiken densetsu series. I think if you try it with less known songs, the game will be more fresh. See ya!! Pd. Most of the music had been determined since I began the project in 1997 when my brother described his dream some levels had tupac music but it was mostly the backround music of certain songs most of the music is operah type as well as one song from the original ecco which was the machine which I thought I'd use. Once I approve of the idea of less known artists thrown but if you have some suggestions for more music id like to here. I may have to closley examine this page with some of those mp3 ideas. mp3 is going to be my standard format for game music.

Hi Rais! Thanx for ROM and pic. Don't know why but ur messages came dated as 23 of July. that's why they were not in the beginning of my list. that pic is really hardcore fan art, great stuff. so that's one of the characters of the game, huh? Then Korn is welcome. But i agree with u, Rais. About fresh music. also about music. One thing for sure, it's gotta be Pro music. not some amateur stuff or hi quality ex-midi file played with some great soundfont. Check out scores from the movies, some ambient music, stuff with chorus would be must-have. Some horror-suspense tracks for dark levels. I'll think of smth, i'll drop a line. isometric view - is that like in Sonic 3d Blast, i mean fake 3d? i would prefer 2D. That's my own opinion. Well i liked only Desert/Jungle/Urban Strike with such fake 3d. Cuz game was great and needed that perspective cuz of no 3D available for MD by that time. Sonic 3d Blast - i often lost rings, i could never ran fast enough. Huh, i remember some first a-la doom game with small screen for MD. Doom for SNES was hit, and really showed advantage over MegaDrive. I will check those mp3's u've mentioned. Having vacation at last. that's cool. maybe u should tkae off ur black clothes and "fry" a little under the sun? 3rd JP - that's right. I heard working title is Embryo. 1st one was superb, those CGI dinos just blew me away. WOW - was my word. Of course we have no WOW in Russian. Anyway, i'll have both 2 DVD's for sure. Maybe also BBC's Walking with Dinosaurs (or smth). Have u heard about it? It's av-le on DVD. Today i showed good movie to my friends - 'Frighteners'. I like it. Saw already 5 times (when showed to some1)or more. Too bad that M. J. Fox got Parkinson illness. Good actor. Back to the Future - i loved that trilogy in childhood. I wish there could be 4th part. that could be super blockbuster. Undo in painting programs? Yup, UNDO is great feature. Have u ever thought how it could be cool if UNDO feature was in life. Sometimes i even thought automatically 'Ah never mind - CTRL+Z and no prob'. OK c u later p.s. this is my 1st experience with so many replied messages already in inet. Usually i communicated with ones i can c in life. cool. p.s. what is 'PD' u put at the end of message? pd=?

Yes, using mp3 in the game will allow to use great tracks, midis are nice, but only nice, mp3 instead of midis will be the best option... but no small files to download... big files. There's people with 28.800 modem out there. The best choice would be a version with cool mp3 and a downloadable version with "canned" midis (because lots of midi sounds like into a can). I think 2d view will be perfect and easier to program, I find the isometric view a bit confusing sometimes. No way, when I go to the beach I don't lose my time getting fried under the sun, i dive for hours. Meanwhile, the black clothes continue as my favorites. A perfect fusion of style and elegance that blah blah blah... (uh... let it go). The first Jp was a great movie from a great book with great CG's, let's see what's new on that Jp3. My favorite character from first Jp was the raptor, what a beautufyl dino! it has the hunter style from the alien (hidden, quick and lethal). Looks like you are fully introduced in the dvd, perhaps purchasing one will be a good idea... just when my wallet recovers from the last assault (too many stuff this time). The trick to avoid this is, if at last you enter that shop filled with all these cool things you want, walk with the eyes closed and repeat "money don't give happiness... money don't give happiness...". But perhaps with closed eyes you will trow down a shelf breakind lots of things... and then my friend, then you're in real trouble. Unlucky Michael J. Fox, and worse luck to Christopher Reeve... Not funny this time. Undo feature in life, I always wanted a savegame feature... let's dance onto that police car! (I know a friends who done that!). And imagine yourself become rich in all world casinos!. Well, usually I talk with the people in irc, so, at last i have text log files greater that 1mb. (and a mb of text from a single person is a lot of text). Pd = Post data, i think it's your equal to p.s., here we use pd. While I was writing this, I was listening some songs from Big Blue, and some of them will fit perfectly on Arkonviox game, some quiet tracks like "Synchronised Instant" or "Blue Dream", and some "in tension" tracks, like "Rescue in a Wreck" or "Fatal Dive". Check them when you receive the packet (it carries mp3 too).

Well rais I loved the music you suggested it will go into my game and progress has fallen so behind on it all I've had time for was to do a little colorizing in my game I'll prove something once I can release my story then shock the hell out of everyone once I release at least some proff of a game like a first level demo. I was impressed today with ed's responce to clair thats so interesting to finaly here some sort of responce. but lastly Alll my effort is going into making my game it's the main reson I choose to do computer programming just to do this project I was destined to finish. The games name will be now "Ecco the Dolphin: A stone in time" Thanks my brother Darkfin which doesnt know yet. Speaking of which hes working on his own ecco game where just doing stories 2d is how I want to do it but Im doing "stone in time" darkfins working on "beyond time" darkfins looks great because its about fighting dolphin clans. I guess hearing about DOF inspired him to take an idea and base an intire game around it. I have dozens of pictures for both "A stone in time" and "beyond time" done by darkfin and colored by me. I'm just program my game though if I ever finish it or start it for that matter and if darkfins relly seroius then i'll do his idea (reusing level patterns proramming ideas done for my game) I need to find C++ functions that can read and play mp3's though and need info on game design in C/C++ right now C++ info I wont be able to use (im still learning it) but C+ functions are what i'll need the most and C++ game designs to look at. I'll learn C++ in time here anyways it's todays standard. speaking of which how will I post my game when finished a web site? yeah i'll do one specificaly for my game once I have something but not an ecco site like blackfins. I have to say this is the best dam site I've ever been to well next to zophar but this is where i come first the best ecco info anywhere! Ps (or pd) thank you rais for those suggestions.

Nick yeah forgot to respond yeah it's the same as sonic 3d blast there are problems though programming it. because of the X, Y, and Z. X being across Y being up and down z being near and far it's gonna be impossible to program. Ecco may be impossible to control to I had an idea where the D-pad would turn ecco but to move him you would have to press a button. kind of like d moves ecco to face a certain direction and some button like C will move him. but it seemed impossible. So if I do it 2d Im going to have to make up for lack of 3d like how castlevania syphony of the night (One of the best games rivaling chrono trigger) which picture did you get? yeah darkfin is doing my art I hope to colorize most and if anyone wants it just tell me I have lots of pictures for my game. Darkfin will do the artwork in the game (levels patterns fish moving sprites) Yeah nick about scores from movies one great one I have is called mars bringer of war done by Gustav holst It's hella big and slow starting but I thought it would be good for a final battle. then theres stairway to heven done by london symphony theres a piece at the end I will also use for a battle. another good one the best one is london sympohny done by london philharmonic symphony the main stairway to heven song that will be used as the games theme. the intro still will have the chrono tirgger song though and be used for the time machine 'titan' level.

Wow, I finally got around to reading this entire thread, (it took me about 1/2 an hour) and it is so big (over a meg I think) that I had to go to have something to eat while it was downloading... The midi files in the download section are indeed gym->midi conversions, sorry about the low quality but that was the best I could get out of them. I don't mind if you continue posting to this thread. Thats about all I have to say.

The emulator vegas nows runs fast enough to play games sound still is a-bit-bad but its near its full speed. Im running it on my 500 mhz K-6 2 and im pretty impressed its relly comming along. that means we may now be able to play kolibri which I'd have to break the news wasnt that good. I have an actual 32x but for those wanting to chek it out http://t-meekins.tripod.com/index.htm One day it will run perfect if you need a great site for 32x roms just ask I brought this up because I'm hoping one day someone will find the imcomplete ecco for 32x to post it up this site already has had answers from ed annuziata id say the rom would be our beggest treat. (yeah I know it wasnt complete but neaither was sonic krackers)

While arkonviox was talking about ecco for 32x, a flasback passed in my mind, i can remember some news about ecco for saturn too in a old console magazine, was just when sega released saturn, and there was some pics too! (i can remember a pic with some dolphins, and another with a great light on the water) but finding that magazine is impossible now... someone knows anything about that?

I'm remembering some details, they said it was a version of "Tides of Time", that means ecco2 in a 32 bits console... it never was released... i can try a thing, i will call a friend and do a deep deep search in the console magazine mountain of his closet (he keeps all of them) i go to call him. It's 1:20 now, but i know he's not sleeping.

The magazine name was "hi-tech", it began as a extra free add to another magazine in 95, and later become an independient one a few months later. It was specialized on 32 bits or higher consoles only. Later we can try to find the other pics, there is some possibility to find the others.

Hi every1! I'm glad this subject in forum grows bigger and bigger! wasn't able to reply for a while. Now while downloading Ecco minigame from Sega.com - i've gto much to reply to. Yup, Raptor is great. Fast Alien. T-Rex is a piece of art. Awesome creature. i remember when i saw SEGA intro with T-Rex 'cutting-edge' roar animation... That was SMTH for Mega Drive. I didn't like the game at 1st. but later game liked me a lot :-)))) I liked the game. Purchasing DVD would be great idea, besides it still can read ur usual CD-rom's. DVD-rom + CD-r (or CD-rw) would be good combination. Yup, Reeve -- too bad for him. I heard long time ago that Superman with Nicolas Cage is planned with Tim Burton's directing. I guess no for now. With his Planet of Apes directing. I thought about 'freeze' mode in actual life. When u just press some1. everyhting stops. and u can take all u want. Or take out books on exams. Many possibilities u know. MP3's in the packet! GREAT!!! he he... Arkonviox - i think u should avoid any titles that resembles previous Ecco installments. Stone of Time - Tides of Time. Maybe smth different according to ur story. Yup, i just thought as well about XYZ problems. It seems difficult in isometric to control depth of swimming. I've got some evil creature from Rais. It was this story about an ultra-intelligent dolphin race set in the future that caught the attention of the folks at Appaloosa Interactive. I like the idea of making a web site with a collection of my game ideas in fact thats excatly what im going to do. but before i do I need to update the 50 page draft and finilize it but I have alot of pictures and I mean alot. Well I'lldescribe part of my game

Oops acidently hit the button anyways its based in the future a small orca was kidnapped by the ruthless seven dark whales (a clan of completly black orcas). the small orca was kidnapped along side his wise tortus friend torrello. Clondike gets away from his stalkers though and acidently stumbles upon an undescovered atlantean city of the coast of brazil. there he finds on of the lost inactive time machines 'titan'. Titan looks like two robotic hands that have an abilitie to control time. But the glyph that activates titan was shattered so clondike has to restore it. As he restores it to return home to his time a small crab activates it bringing back ecco who was lost in time. to sum things up Ecco will have to save this future from a new nemisis "the vortex king" a new drone created by the queen and said to be much more powerful. He will also have to return to his time to stop the vortex queen. But actualy this isnt ecco's main ally, while he worrys of the threat of alien vortex his biggest threat is letting the dark whales get ahold of the time machines. Now who is arkonviox I think rais gave you that picture he is the atlantean dolphin known as "the savoir of the future" sounds like defender of the future but remember my game idea and story existed way before DOF as an attempt to finish the incomplete ecco story. I may through in elements from DOF though... well for now thats what i'll tell until the story is finished...

Nick - your quite right, it is only currentlly 100kb, I must have misread the figure and though it was 1000kb :) Arkonviox - If you want I can put together a page in the 'previews' section of this website for your game. As for your game title I think that making it so similar to the previous game titles is somewhat boring, but it is still a quite good title and besides which considering my ecco game currentlly has the working title of 'The Stream of Time' I am hardlly in a position to complain ;)

Yeah I'll start putting things together I do have enough to make a full preview and about...10 pictures related to my game one in color my problem is I've never learned web design because I've been so focused on C. I have on book on HTML but I dont think I'll ever relly read it maybe when I actually have a demo availble but anyways yeah sure a prevue would be great!

Arkonviox - well at 1st when i read beginning of ur story... i thought 'kidnapping... and then saving... that is kinda cliche' But later when i read that story continues with all that Titan machine and so on. Yup, of course - Atlantis City in Brazil. That is great. i would love to visit another Atlantis sightseeing. have u downloaded minigame from Sega.com. 2d Ecco's animation is superb. How goood will ur Ecco look like? do u have any in-game sketches? not covers art but smth close to actual gameplay already. that is hard work to do smth really good looking. There r teams for game programming. anyway - i suggest to avoid 'Of Time' in title. Easy to say - of course. But there r a lot of Ecco fans that could help when they'll read story and other related to ur project stuff. Also about story - i think kidnapping moment should be just some beginning. like some kind of surprise for player. when he thinks 'oh, c'mon rescue-ranger game - that is way too simple'. and then suddenly smth really BIG is dicovered. Time machine and . Ah, i already c some movie scenes in my mind....

Well my brother has posted his story up in his own forum It may be more of a story than a game according to him of course there will be pictures to go along with it. My games art is going to be done by bloodfin formerly known as darkfin who did the picture you have of Arkonviox. As of yet no in game sketches due to I have to learn more about program design but I'm hoping for a playable demo by march of next year. The games completion date hopfully will be by 2004. The storyline will be complete in november along with a prevue of what to expect. Oh I do have how the life meter looks what the play will be like it's going to be somewhat like an RPG in the 2d like Castlevania syphony of the night. Speaking of which I have seen the Ecco minigame yeah I hope my games graphics are as good Bloodfin will be taking up one of the greatst of challenges but if he cant do it I will find another artist or I will do the art myself.

Right now im doing two things at once (Make that 3) For starters, im finishing the 10 drawings for Arkonviox, Im also starting on a comic, and last im helping a friend out to make an anime comic intitled "Soulcast", but thats completely out of the subject. You should expect to see them on wednsday.
