Hi all! Thanx for link. i downloaded 3 tracks from new Ecco. Too bad i can't play that game cuz DC is not av-le where i live. so i'll wait when i'll go to States to my friends (next year - aaaaaargggh!). Well, Title track was kinda disapointment. Sounds like some japanese kiddish stuff. Comparing to opened mouth - when i first heard Ecco 2 title theme on my Sega MD. But. 2nd excerpt, the one that is not spooky --- GREAT moody stuff. Truly Ecco's classic. So vocals were used. As u know choir was not in first 2 Ecco's. Maybe some1 will find it interesting to read (from comments by Spencer Nilsen in audio cd): "So, when I came to Ed and suggested (i.e. begged) we do a vocal version of one of the pieces for the album, he reminded me of all the painstaking effort we put creating and maintaining Ecco's non human fantasy world... then vowed to fight me to death if I dared breach that sacred pact. I honored his wishes. Not because he's much bigger than me, but because it's that level of intense focus and dedication that makes Ed among the very best in this industry. I'm jazzed to 've been asked to his party!" Ed in comments - it's Ed Annunziata, creator (or co-creator?) of Ecco. Ne1 had URL for Ecco full album? SO that every1 (i own CD) could have it and discuss every track? I could have posted it - but it will take much time for uploading 70 or smth megs. OK, later then. | ||

Well, if they were going for "No Humans Allowed !" type of storyline it was thrown out the window with DOTF.The only music I really liked in it was "Shrine Of Controversy" and "Process That Never Ends".Both levels had beautiful, sad music, fit the levels very well.But the rest of the music didn't come close to the original, sadly.Oh well....... |

My favorite is the music of "passage from genesis", and that level is one of my favorites too, it takes me to the early 90's, when i was young and played Ecco for first time... yeah, i was really hooked to this game. And i can remember too a day "feeling a bit dizzy" to avoid school and play Ecco... uhm... the old times... |

There is a vocal remix of one of the tracks from Songs of Time on Sega Power Cuts 1. The track is "St. Gabriel's mask" and is done by Spencer Nilsen with Gary Cirimelli. I thought this was a little odd when I first saw it since I've also read Spencer Nilsen's comments in Songs of Time. |

personally i like the sad music mentioned, but i also like the anguish of dearth music. it didn't really fit the level but it was a nice change from dreary, sad music. |
